Suzie has been making hats since 2006 when she started a short course with Theatrical Milliner Jane Smith. In 2009 she completed the HNC Millinery at Kensington and Chelsea college, during this time she was awarded 2nd prize in The Worshipful Company of Feltmakers' annual hat design competition.
